What are electric operators?

The electrical operators for garage doors include safety beams, solenoid lock, bottom sensing edge, interface module etc. When there is an obstruction the entry to the door will be closed or reversed by the help of a safety beam. The solenoid lock gives extra protection with electric operation to the door and is operated by the radio control or remote. The bottom sensing edge serves the same function as the safety beam. The interface module provides a connection between two sensor edges. Garage heater or vent-free infrared heater is an important accessory during winter as it warm up the garage and makes it comfortable. Lastly the receiver receives the signal of the remote and thus performs its necessary functions. Thus all these garage accessories have different functions in opening and closing of the garage door.

Copy: Delft’s new train station is now in use. It was officially opened on Saturday, 28th February 2015. The station, in combination with municipal offices and the new city hall, sits atop a new train tunnel built in place of the old concrete viaduct that has divided the city in two since 1965. From the outset, Mecanoo’s idea has been to design a station that makes it clear to visitors that they have arrived in Delft.

Says Francine Houben, Mecanoo’s creative director, -Coming up the escalators, the impressive ceiling with the historic map of Delft unfolds. When you look outside, you see the city and the old station as a modern -View of Delft’ by the painter Johannes Vermeer. Arriving in Delft is now an unforgettable experience!-

The character of Delft, epitomised by the combination of past and future, was the starting point for the design led by Francesco Veenstra of Mecanoo. A vaulted ceiling features an enormous historic 1877 map of Delft and its surroundings, connecting the station with the city hall that is currently under construction. Within the station hall, walls and columns are adorned with a contemporary re-interpretation of Delft Blue tiles. In 2017, you will be able to walk directly from the station into the city hall.

The glass skin of the building is designed to reflect the Dutch skies. The panels of fused glass with lens-like spheres reference a vernacular window design that can be seen throughout the historic city. The combination and rhythm of open panels of high performance glass and closed fused glass panels enable a high degree of energy efficiency.

Throughout the design process the building volume has been shaved and reformed to create a compact, highly efficient building form. The lowered roof lines at the corners provide a gradual transition towards the existing small-scale development of the Delft city centre and the adjacent Wester Quarter. Incisions in the glass volume form a pattern of alleyways and courtyards, which are themselves inspired by the intricate structure of Delft itself.

The station hall is a part of the first phase of the development of the station and municipal office. When the old railway viaduct will be demolished in 2017, and the city hall and entire municipal offices completed, the whole complex will be open to the public.

Train To Kashmir Hits The Highway

All ready to guzzle in Kashmir’s mesmerizing scenery and to experience the hilly tack of Kashmir in a train in snowy February 2007, the primary trial train to Kashmir started off for the Valley not on conventional tracks but on the 300 km-long Jammu-Srinagar national main road, adding together an additional significant episode to the Rs 4,700 crore Jammu-Udhampur-Qazigund-Srinagar-Baramulla national railing plan.

It is an adding up of a further division to an account of Indian Railways and Kashmir’s national rail plan, as the first examination of diesel movable coach left for Kashmir’s Budgam railway terminal by opting a road route and not a train trail from Jammu railway station.

Almost immediately after the 36-wheeled train drawn by a 460 HP extraordinary engine started moving up the Jammu-Srinagar highway at 0700 hours ,It seems unbelievable, but the train is moving on the highway from Jammu to Badgam through Srinagar. It has taken place for the first time in the history of the Indian Railways that a DMU has scampered on a road.

Numerous Pujas were performed to mark the auspicious occasion in the history of Indian Railways. The train fitted with nearly 36 big truck wheels moved through crisscrossed roads as all the population around witnessed as the train moved on the highway with the trucks and buses on the sides. Hit by surprise as the train zigzagged through the highway, bystanders on roads, in buses and from dwellings crowded the road all around and stood astonished and flabbergasted. The sole difference in these trains is that they are fitted not with regular iron wheels but with unusual truck tyres that do not need tracks to move on. It was perhaps one of the most unfamiliar sight and the people of Kashmir were absolutely zapped.

Such an exhibition is an uncommon achievement of engineering, has become a reality as first of 24 coaches moved for Budgam railway terminal in central Kashmir. It was made probable by substitute iron wheels of the coaches with truck tyres, which will be drawn by a trailer-truck comprising 460 HP specifically planned engine.

Considering himself as a man on foot into the record of Indian Railways and Kashmir rail development, driver of the train Joginder Singh was a contented and swollen with pride . Coming from Bihar’s Fazipora region, Singh said, “I have done Indian Railways pompous by moving a most priceless present to Kashmiris.”
